Después de un par de sustos no anunciados por RIM en los mantenimientos de sus servidores que dejaron en su día temporalmente sin servicio a sus clientes de América, por fin se ha decidido a anunciar una parada prevista de sus sistemas.
El mensaje que publicó hace unos días Bb-Outage, lista no oficial de las paradas del servicio BlackBerry, reza:
RIM Scheduled Outage March 22, 2008
During the normally scheduled window (2a – 6a EDT)
A full 4 hour outage is scheduled for all BIS & BES users in the
Americas for RIM database maintenance.
Any BES connected to srp.na.blackberry.net is expected to be impacted.
No mail / activations will be possible during this outage.
This is a 100% outage

Por lo anunciado solo tendrá impacto en el NOC (Network Operations Centers) de América, es decir que en Europa el servicio BlackBerry ha de funcionar sin problemas.
